Mal'tsev Meeting

Novosibirsk, August 19-23, 2019

First announcement

Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS and Novosibirsk State University invite to participate in the "MAL'TSEV MEETING" and to contribute. The meeting will be held in Novosibirsk (Russia) on August 19-23, 2019.

The programme committee is headed by the Academicians of RAS Yurii L. Ershov and Sergei S. Goncharov.

The programme will consist of invited talks (approx. 45 minutes) and contributions in sections (approx. 10-20 minutes). The topics include (but are not limited to) algebraic combinatorics, computability, groups, rings, models, non-classical logics, other related areas as well as applications of algebra and mathematical logic in computer science. The official languages of the conference are Russian and English.

The list of invited speakers includes Lev Beklemishev, Wieslaw Dziobiak, Matthew Harrison Trainor, Iskander Kalimullin, Larisa Maksimova, Alexander Melnikov, Alexei Miasnikov, Nikolai Romanovskii, Oleg Shashkov, Sergey Shpectorov, Charles Steinhorn, John K. Truss, Andrei Vasil'ev, Mikhail Volkov, and Boris Zilber.

As usual, talks at the Mal'tsev Meeting are judged as talks at the "Algebra and Logic" seminar. Articles on reported results can be submitted to the journal with the same title. Invited speakers may submit short articles on reported results for priority publishing.

An electronic collection of abstracts will be published online. The abstract (at most 1 page) should be prepared in (a considerably new version of) LaTeX following the sample. You may send pdf- and tex-files to the organisers (please, do not forget to indicate the section and use author's last names as name of the files).

We suggest to stay at the "Golden Valley" hotel. Please, book the hotel via the organisers (in the registration form).

Visa information is already available. We will start to prepare official invitations in March.

The deadline for abstract submission and hotel reservation is July 20, 2019.
